About This Place

Nestled in the charming heart of Coyoacán, Entrevero brings the rich, soulful flavors of Uruguayan cuisine to Mexico City’s vibrant dining scene. This delightful restaurant is a true culinary gem for those seeking an authentic taste of South America, blending tradition with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes every meal feel special.

Entrevero’s menu is a celebration of diverse and hearty dishes that instantly transport your palate to Uruguay’s bustling markets and lively streets. Start your day with their delicate Hot Cakes accompanied by perfectly brewed coffee, or indulge in their savory Chivito al Pan, a classic Uruguayan sandwich bursting with tender meat and fresh ingredients. Empanadas here are a must-try — the Empanada Criolla with its rich blend of spiced minced meat, pimientos, olives, nuts, and raisins delivers an irresistible balance of textures and flavors that dance on your tongue.

For lovers of grilled delights, Entrevero’s Parrillada Mixta con Espárragos a la Parrilla offers a succulent medley of meats grilled to perfection, accompanied by smoky, tender asparagus that enhances every bite. Vegetarians will find joy in the Verduras Parrilladas and sautéed vegetables brightened with fresh herbs and olive oil. The menu also showcases elegant pastas like the Fetuccini Palermo and a delightful Omelette de Champiñones con Queso de Cabra, marrying earthy mushrooms with creamy goat cheese for a sublime combination.

Complement your meal with refreshing beverages like the zesty Mezcalita de Tamarindo or a perfectly balanced Piña Colada, while the wine list featuring bold Vino Tinto selections accents the robust flavors on your plate.

The dining environment at Entrevero is equally compelling — a tranquil refuge where soft music mingles with the warm chatter of contented diners. Spacious yet cozy, the restaurant overlooks the historic Parque Centenario, offering lovely views that enhance your culinary journey. Customers like Aldo Márquez Aguilar praise its peaceful atmosphere, perfect for enjoying breakfast or a leisurely meal, while Kylie Amssoms reminisces about how Entrevero’s empanadas and mixed grill evoke fond memories of South America.

Service at Entrevero is attentive without being intrusive, making each visit a truly enjoyable experience. The staff's friendly professionalism coupled with the restaurant’s thoughtful presentation turns every meal into a celebration of Uruguayan culture. As Nikola Lapenna notes, although prices may lean towards the higher end, the combination of delectable food, inviting ambiance, and live music makes it absolutely worthwhile.

Whether you’re craving the comforting flavors of Carpaccio de Res topped with delicate parmesan and peppery arugula, the creamy embrace of Crema Florentina, or just a perfectly crafted pizza like those praised by Harmina Bansal, Entrevero promises a culinary adventure that both delights and satisfies. It is the perfect spot to savor authentic Uruguayan gastronomy while soaking in the artistic and historic charm of Coyoacán.

For an elevated dining experience that awakens the senses and honors tradition, Entrevero is a standout destination — a place where every bite tells a story and every moment feels warmly cherished.

We ordered the margarita pizza’s and they were just fantastic! Tasted like authentic Italian pizzas. They gave us choice of lots of sauces/chimichuri on the side also. Service is amazing too. Would recommend!

Really delicious pizza and empenadas. Expensive but had a great ambiance. Music outside and nice views of the square make this restaurant well worth it

Delicious breakfasts, amazing pan dulce and other breads. Great atmosphere and service. My family loves this place for Sunday breakfasts. Haven't tried lunch or dinner, but given the quality of the food, I would say it's a good bet.
